First time visiting this restaurant, and it was quite busy, usually a good sign! Even though the food took a little while to arrive (understandably, given how packed it was), everything was worth the wait. The dishes were full of flavour and beautifully cooked. We ordered the Lamb Shank, Saag Paneer, and Naan all delicious. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to! Delicious Indian Cuisine 🤩. We had the banquet A and everything we chose was so tasty. The only down side is that it’s not made clear in the banquet menu that you have to choose 2 vegetarian mains and 2 meat of seafood based. I would recommend to make it clear to the customers when they decide on what to order. Otherwise, on top of the food being yummy, there’s a lovely atmosphere, family friendly, clean with great customer service. I definitely recommend it heaps. Thanks Rasoi Team 🤩🥰. I have been going to this place since the day they have opened. Great casual setting, food is delicious, the staff are awesome. Great alcohol free selection, especially mocktails. We’ve visited this “Indian kitchen” a few times before, but it had been a while, so we figured it was time to return and shake things up a bit with something different in the area. The restaurant was reasonably quiet—it was early on a Tuesday night in the middle of school holidays—but once they added some music, the atmosphere felt quite pleasant. Here’s what we ordered: • Butter Chicken • Prawn Masala • Goat Curry • Garlic Naan • Cheese Naan • Basmati Rice • Mango Chutney • Yoghurt • Kingfisher Beer • Sparkling Water We asked for everything to be cooked at a medium heat level. The butter chicken—a staple Aussie favorite—did not disappoint. My partner polished this off quickly since it was her pick. I opted for the goat curry and prawn masala, and both were fantastic. The prawn masala was a standout—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The goat curry was tender and delicious, though I have to say it didn’t quite beat my ex-mother-in-law’s version! The naan was spot on—soft, buttery, and perfect for soaking up the sauces. I did wonder if it might’ve had a better flavor with a touch of smokiness—maybe it wasn’t cooked in a traditional tandoor? Either way, it hit the spot. The portions were generous, and we intentionally over-ordered so we could take some home. I’m happy to report that the goat curry made for an excellent breakfast the next morning! The staff were friendly, and the service was prompt—our food arrived without much wait. We lingered for a while (stuffed) after the meal before eventually asking for takeaway containers. $6 for sparkling water was a bit steep but I understand business and needing to be profitable. We tipped and left happy, and we’ll definitely be back again soon! Review from an Indian guy of an Indian restaurant. 4/5. Food : Ordered mango lassi, lamb samosa, butter roti and chicken vindaloo curry. Mango lassi : Great quantity but a lil bitter and felt old. Lamb samosa : Crispy but again had a bit of old food smell and taste. Butter roti : Delicious roti, good enough amount of butter but as it’s named as a roti, wanted it to be a lil more crispy. Chicken Vindaloo : BEST SPICY CURRY I have had in Sydney so far. A must try. Asked for extra spicy and they did make it extra spicy. Very hot and delicious. Reminded and made me miss food back home. Indian guy approved. Atmosphere : Would recommend to make it more Indian style, not only the music, but with a bit of decor lightings and elements like utensils, metal lassi glasses and plates. Washroom : Needs an upgrade. Staff and Service : Loved the staff and service. Very sweet and friendly people. Value : The items mentioned above costed rounded up to AUD 60. I think it’s a value for money place for authentic curry and Indian breads. Indian guy approved. Must visit place for everyone looking and want to try out proper Indian food.
